Dr. Shuni Zerykier, PsyD
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

My Background
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in both NY and NJ. I received my doctorate from William James College in Massachusetts. In my practice, I see children, adolescents and adults. I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, family and relationship difficulties, and general life stressors. Before establishing my private practice in Closter, NJ, I worked in a private group practice in NYC where I provided individual therapy, led social skills groups, and worked as an assistant director at a social skills summer camp.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in the theories of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on embracing uncomfortable thoughts and emotions, staying present in the moment, and doing what matters most to you. I am also trained in Parent Management Training (PMT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). I offer a calm, patient, and non-judgmental space where we can explore your experiences. With creativity and curiosity, I aim to help you approach your challenges with compassion and learn new ways of coping with them.
